New Baby

**** Just a quick update, that they decided to name the new baby Jayden and the best part is that Chris and I were asked to be godparents ****
*** Also, I'm still waiting for the new parents to upload there pictures so I can share one of my pictures, I promise if they don't upload any pictures by the end of the weekend, I WILL ***

I'm a brand new auntie to a healthy baby boy!

That's right my sister-in law and hubby had there 3rd son lastnight January 27th just before 7pm.

I have yet to see him and anxiously waiting for work to be done - so I can go visit the wee little man.

As far as I know he currently still does not have a name - but i'm sure his parents are trying to find the most suitable name for him or maybe waiting for Owen and Bradly to go the hospital and help with the final decision?!?!?

Baby Lance weighed a healthy 9lbs 15oz and 22.5 inches long! He might be built like his daddy for sure!

I'm update once I have a name and picutre!!

Being an Aunt Rocks

I love love love being a mother, and I think i'm doing a pretty good job at it.

But, if there is one role that I have and I know i'm pretty awesome at it and that's being an AUNT!!
I love, love, love being an aunt! It truly is a great feeling on how fast and how much you can love someone from the moment they are born when technically they aren't even yours. I love being the cool aunt, that takes care of them, brings them places, spoils them and of course, teaches them one or two things that their parents wouldn't!

And hopefully before the day is through, I will be auntie again! This time, it's my sister in-law in labour (hopefully by now, she was scheduled to be at the hospital for 8am to be induced) and I have no idea if I'll have another nephew or maybe another niece! I truly, don't get which one it is but I'm looking forward to finding out the gender and of course the name!

Roxanne already has two boys, Owen and Bradly so of course, it would be nice if she has a little girl. And if this baby does decide to be a little girl, that will give Piper a total of 2 girl cousins! Which would be pretty cool. As of right now, Piper has 1 girl cousin Ruby and 5 boy cousins Owen, Bradly, Memphis, Easton and Mason.

Come on baby!

Euchre Tournament

My mother's side of the family is hosting a Euchre Tournament this upcoming Saturday in Aylmer.

Chris and I were invited to play, which we gladly said yes too but the only little problem is that I have no idea how to play Euchre - my card games consist of  go fish, war, memory - that's about it! Chris said that he was going to teach me and well it is now Tuesday and I haven't learnt a thing. I've resorted to the following website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euchre

We will be drawing our partners by random so I'm already starting to feel really bad for whoever is stuck with me! Keeping my fingers crossed that I get someone that won't get to mad when we lose horribly in the first round.

On the other hand, I'm looking forward to the homemade spaghetti dinner and garlic bread! Yum!

Kids aren't not allowed at this tournament so I really appreciate that my big sis has agreed to watch Piper Saturday and most likely overnight!!

Way Overdue...

This past Sunday, one of my best friends from high school Shannon and her boyfriend Casey came over for a visit and supper. During, high school Shannon and I were really close but as usual a couple years after school we ended up going our separate ways... we did however, keep in contact through emails and of course the infamous facebook...but it truly wasn't the 'same' anymore.

I really don't know why we hadn't planned a get-together sooner but I'm glad that we came up with the great idea on a Tuesday and everything fell into place for the following Sunday. I was finally going to meet her boyfriend Casey and really get to know him. And I was beyond excited to finally introduce her to Piper. Piper is nearly 20 months old  and Shannon had only ever saw pictures and only knew the things that I would say about Piper - which every mother makes their child sound perfect in many, many ways.

To be honest, I was a little nervous before them arriving... I was afraid that we would have not a whole lot to talk about - let's me honest it's easier to keep a conversation going by email then in person - and I was afraid that it would be the same... but boy, was I wrong and I'm glad that I was wrong! I had a great time chit-chatting in person and getting caught up with each others lives in person and not through a computer! We will definitely have to plan something for the near future again!

On a side note - Shannon had return to me our purple book that we had in high school...we would write notes/letters to each other and pass to the back back in forth. The book lasted about 2 years...and oh my god! were we ever lame. I'm still not finished reading through the entire thing but to read about our lives back them! It makes me laugh out loud and I can't believe the things that use to worry me. Those things are peanuts compare to real world worries that I deal with now!

Bad Blogger

I've definitely been slacking in the blogging department since before Christmas! Oops! I promise to try harder about blogging regularly!

I'll just quickly say that this Christmas morning was Priceless... Piper's reaction  was the best and I wouldn't change any of that morning for anything. She obviously doesn't understand the meaning of Christmas or what Santa Clause does but she definitely understood that everything under the tree was for her! She was smiling and laughing. Piper did get 'spoiled' by Santa for being such a good girl this year by her Aunts and Uncles as well.

I most definitely cannot wait for next year!!
