101 List Updated

The Day Project Zero website has been down since right before Christmas so I haven't been able to keep track of my list.... which I've know learnt that I should keep a hard copy. I was able to email the creator and they have sent me a copy of my list - Thank God.

Looking back at my list I've been able to scratch a few more things off my list! Yahoooo Me!

9 - Make home gifts for Piper's daycare friends:
Completed for Christmas time - Piper and I sat down with pipecleaners and made each child a homemade Christmas tree ornament - It was fun but I little more difficult to keep Piper's attention on what we were doing. I'm considering this task complate but plan on continuing making gifts for her friends.

35 - Go an entire weekend (Fri-Sun) without ordering take-out:
This task is a little harder when leaving with Chris. Chris likes to think that Sundays our Pizza Sundays! But since Christmas we have actually probably done 3 weekends without ordering anything. This past weekend was one of them. My wallet sure does like this task!

57 - Become a indeterminate AS-02:
I officially became an AS02 as of January 10, 2011!! I'm very proud of myself and it didn't take as long as I thought it would. I applied for the competition back in May 2009, aced the exam and interview. A previous Director that I worked for, heard I was in a PHAC pool and she was able to do a non-advertised appointment process to bring me in at Health Canada. I'm very forturnate she went through the hard work to get me in here. I'm currently still in the PHAC pool and have been getting phone calls for interviews for the last 3 weeks!

60. Invite family over for brunch:
As you know, I'm not the best cook and I really do not enjoy cooking. So it is rare that we invite family over, espicially Chris' side of the family. I'm pretty lucky when I invite my side of the family over, Jean-Claude ends up doing the all the cooking. Christmas morning, we invited Chris' parents over for brunch - they are alone Christmas morning. I think it was a huge success... we had the usual, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, juice/milk/coffee. I think we might make it a new tradition! who knows...

71. Join Weight Watchers:
I just signed up yesterday and my first week starts next Thursday, February 10th! I'm very eager to start it but still a little worried that I might fall of the wagon! I've joined through work, so I will be able to go to the meetings during lunch hour! Very excited! I'm hoping this will help me with task # 13 and lose 15lbs! Good Luck to me!

76. Finish Christmas shopping before December 24th:
This year I was done shopping way before the 24th but of course I still purchased a few items on December 23rd! It was very non-stressful time of year, and i'm hoping I will be able to do the same for x-mas 2011, I've already bought and put away one present for next year alrighty...

Wow 6 tasks completed in only a couple of months! I think i'm doing good!

Jayden

It's not the best picture but this all I have for right now (well with me at work - sorry)

Piper, big brother Owen and new baby Jayden

I should mention that there is a tiny little baby named Hailey (one of our friends daughters) that goes to Piper's daycare - so everytime someone mentions a baby - Piper automatically says baby Hailey!
So poor Jayden, is being called Hailey by Piper!

Wednesday, February 2, 2011

This morning, for some apparent reason Piper woke-up and found me in the bathroom. She stood quietly at the bathroom door as I put on my make-up... she watched me closely and as soon as I was done applying my fondation... I heard a little voice say 'Me too, Mommy' - she walked over to me and stood on her little stool and I pretended to put fondation on her.
Then I applied some blush on my cheeks while she watched and when I went to put away the blush the little voice said again 'Me too, Mommy' - so I took out the little brush and swept the blush on her cheeks. This time I got a little 'Thank you, Mommy' when I was done.
I went on to put masacra and I knew she was going to ask, so before she had the chance I asked her if she would like some masacra, she of course said yes! I closed the masacra and pretended to put some on her eyelashes - she stayed very still!

I said all done, and she looked so happy and proud that she was wearing make-up.

Even though, I'm so proud of Piper. She's talking to so much, she's becoming little miss independent! I'm really sad that my baby girl is growing so fast!
But moments like this morning make me sit back and think about how great it's going to be when she's a bit older so we will be able to enjoy shopping trips and just enjoy the mother-daughter bonding moments!
