Our little town of Bryson as been out of water since Sunday, December 19th at 5:00pm! Talk about being a nuisance..... not only are our dishes and laundry piling up. We have no water to flush the toilet, no warm water to wash Piper down at night or even to clean up after a meal!
Thankfully, my sister let us use her shower last night but talk about a pain the butt having to go for 10 minutes drive to the next town in the Winter for water. I also brought a big jug to fill up with water so I wouldn't have to go to the store and spend 5.75 for water to flush the toilet.
It feels like I'm camping in the my own house!!!!!
The word on the street is that they've already dug in 26 places and haven't been able to find the source of the water break...and here is the doosey if they can't find out where the problem in by the end of today *TUESDAY* they will be calling someone from the city to come take a look.
So much for my last minute baking before Christmas!

#7 and #35
Have been officially completed from my 101 list of things to do!
http://dayzeroproject.com/user/Mom2Piper
#7: Go mini-putting:
I had won through a silent auction at work a family pass for 4 to A Putt Above here in Ottawa http://www.aputtabove.ca/
and because Piper is obviously to young for the game. Chris and I decided to take our 2 oldest nephews. It was such a great time! It is definitely a fun family adventure. On top of the mini-putt we even played in the Balladium which is a room where you are two different teams and you have 5 minutes to hit as many targets as you can with soft balls using guns! Of course, both boys are a great time with this.
#35: Go an entire weekend (Fri-Sun) without ordering any take-out or eating out!
I can't remember the last time we haven't eaten out somewhere or all during the weekend! Sunday, is usually our 'pizza' day but NOT this weekend! Maybe it's because of the weather was crappy and maybe it's because we didn't have to do groceries but we did not order or buy anything for either lunch or supper! I'm very proud of us for actually making decent meals all weekend! I know there was a few times that I said Subway would be good but thankfully we had no reason to go all the way to Renfrew and I definitely was not going to Renfrew for such subway! Thumbs up to us!
I've currently at 5% completed off my 101 list and 962 days to go!

Can't wait for the weekend!
I'm going to be very busy this weekend but I can't wait!
Tomorrow morning, Chris and I are bringing our two oldest nephews Owen (7yrs old) and Memphis (5yrs old) to A Putt Above here in Ottawa for some 3D Glow-in the dark mini-putt! I won a silent auction and won a family pass of 4 and I thought it would be nice way for us to spend some quality time with our godsons (Chris is Owen's Godfather and I am Memphis Godmother). I'm not sure how long it will take us to get through 18 holes of mini-putt and we even get the play around in the Balladium ( a room where you get to shoot at targets). After the mini-putt we will be taking the boys out for lunch! We were thinking instead of doing the usual McDonald's maybe we'll treat them to some Boston Pizza!
Saturday night, I will be spending some quality time with some of my favorite girls at our annual all-girls Christmas party! A little bit of food, some drinks and some good music! Can't ask for anything better. I still have to get something for our gift exchange... nothing like leaving it to the last minute, eh!?
We'll no need to stress as we do re-gift type of gift exchange... I'll just have to take a look in some cupboards or closets to see what I no longer need or want! Perfect and cheap - just the way I like it!
End nothing like ending the weekend with a birthday for my favorite niece Ruby (I can technically still say this as Ruby is my only niece, things might change in January though)! She'll be turning 3 years old and I love this little girl sooo much!!! Afterall, she is my little gem!! If you didn't know I'm born in July so my birthstone is a Ruby....so my nickname for Ruby is my little gem! or has she calls it 'my little jam'!
I'm pretty sure Ruby will be very excited with the present I bought her this year! Her very own Lalaloopsy Doll (Jewel Sparkle)
